NMB's view from booth #1500

This year’s Dynamics Community Summit in Orlando, Florida was slated to be the largest gathering of Microsoft partners and attendees ever, marking another clear opportunity for our NMB team to engage in peer-to-peer learning, discuss common challenges, and build relationships that extend far beyond the event itself. Predictably, we were also anticipating renewed hype around AI, eagerly waiting to hear and learn how Microsoft Copilot’s latest developments could be translated into smarter, faster shipping. Needless to say: this year’s event did not disappoint.

As we arrived on the sunny scene, we were joined by more than 6,000 attendees, 500 expert speakers, and 280 partners and ISVs—all engaging in over 700 educational sessions. The crowds (and sunshine) were beaming, and the agenda was packed. From technical deep dives to strategic discussions, it was evident that this year’s event would offer something valuable for everyone—whether you were a partner, vendor, or end-user.

Not just surviving, but thriving

Monday morning’s keynote offered up exclusive insights into Microsoft’s latest product innovations and future roadmap, including news of the “Learners” platform as well as new Copilot adoption strategies.

The AI Copilot chatter took a slightly different angle this year, as Dynamic Communities & Cloud Wars CEO, John Siefert opened the discussion quoting The Grateful Dead’s iconic lyric: “I will get by; I will survive”, emphasizing the importance of merging curious creativity with steadfast change management. It was a clear indication to prepare for AI’s enlightenment stage (according to Gartner’s Hype Cycle methodology), as Copilot's user adoption increases and its benefits become more widely understood within the broader Microsoft Community.

John’s message was simple: enable Community members and businesses to not only survive, but to thrive with AI as an active copilot.

“Notably, Large Language Models (LLMs) have had the fastest adoption rate ever, reaching over 100 million users in just three months, compared to the adoption of mobile phones, for example, which took 16 years, illustrating the impact of AI on the workforce.” - Dynamics Community blog

Georg Glantschnig, CVP of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Agentic ERP Applications, rounded the conversation by highlighting the impact of AI and agentic adoption throughout the Dynamics spheres:

  • AI is outperforming human baseline level by 87% in last 3 months

  • 80% of the workforce doesn’t have enough time and energy to get work done

  • 82% of leaders are confident they’ll invest digital workers (AI) in the next 18 months

“We feel [that] agents, they will transform basically how work gets done in a company, and I think this is very much aligned with Microsoft’s mission statement to empower every person, every company on the planet, to achieve more”

We also heard from several Microsoft leaders on the impact of artificial intelligence across the Microsoft stack and received news of the “Learners” platform, a new community connection tool which aims to help community members connect, learn, and explore content tailored to their needs, whether they’re new to the community or experienced professionals.

This year’s Summit message was clear and compelling: by embracing the shared culture and capabilities of Microsoft Business Applications, businesses can build stability throughout their AI implementation journey and accelerate progress toward long-term, sustainable goals. For us at NMB, it offered an energizing perspective—reinforcing how our continued partnership with the Microsoft community empowers us to leverage new integrations and functionalities to deliver smarter, faster shipping solutions that drive meaningful transformation.

Bringing balance to the Force

Over at booth #1500, our Force-like presence on the showroom floor could be seen and heard across the D365 SCM galaxy while our co-sponsored evening event with Forvis Mazars sparked collaborative conversation and connections with both new and familiar faces, all under the warm glow of the Floridian night sky.

While our Jedi reflex test drew plenty of attention (along with some recurring frustration), the real buzz around the supply chain Cantina came from talking with fellow attendees, where we discussed everything from fluctuating tariffs to integrating rail shipments into our D365 TMS solution and reducing parcel shipping costs. It was an opportunity for our very own Chris Winstanley to engage attendees in free, private Shipping Management workshops designed to help them understand their current D365 shipping processes and identify practical ways to reduce costs with personalized recommendations.

By the end of the three days on the showroom floor, three things were clear to our team:

  • Supply chains are continuing to grow in complexity—attention is shifting to more complex issues, such as tariffs and rail tracking within TMS platforms. New challenges are forcing businesses to assess their D365 SCM technology stacks to proactively find and fill gaps with dedicated parcel, LTL, and TMS solution integrations.

  • Global shippers are actively looking to automate export compliance within D365 SCM

  • AI Copilot and predictive analytics are already playing a key role in helping supply chain operations stay ahead of the game by optimizing inventory levels, reducing stockouts or overstocking, and improving order fulfillment rates.

Our team was ready and waiting, providing exceptional expertise and professionalism, showcasing how NMB Solutions continues to meet—and exceed—the evolving challenges faced by shippers across the D365 SCM community. What’s more is that we were joined by our valued customer: RahrBSG, who shared their testimonial, highlighting the importance of strong ISV–customer partnerships throughout the implementation journey.

Home brewing

In an industry driven by trust and authenticity, customer testimonials are often the most impactful elements of any showcase event, offering real-world validation of a company’s solutions, bridging the gap between promise and performance.

We were thrilled to have Thomas Krepsky from RahrBSG join Chris Winstanley as they presented their session: “Brewing success: RahrBSG’s journey to supply chain efficiency with NMB Gateway for D365”. The session highlighted how NMB’s Gateway for TMS and Gateway for Parcel enhanced visibility, accuracy, and automation across RahrBSG’s fulfillment process. Chris and Thomas shared how our close collaboration allowed NMB to supply not only the technical capabilities to extending their D365 platform, but also provide the strategic insight to tailor their shipping solutions to align with their real-world business challenges.

For our NMB team, customer success stories (like RahrBSG’s) are more than just endorsements—they’re proof of the value we deliver and a compelling way to connect with new audiences through shared success.
